About ATXUkrainians
We unite Austin’s Ukrainian community through education, culture, events and volunteering.
Our mission
We build a strong Ukrainian community in Austin, support Ukrainian education and culture, create opportunities for people of all ages to stay connected to Ukraine, and support Ukraine through charitable initiatives and partnerships.
We also introduce the wider Austin community to modern Ukraine, its culture and traditions.
What we do
Cultural and community events
Festivals, celebrations, concerts, film nights, family and charity events throughout the year.
Supporting Ukraine
We host charity events and fundraisers to support Ukraine in partnership with Liberty Ukraine Foundation, through which the aid is directed to Ukraine’s needs.
Community
ATXUkrainians is a space for meeting people, collaboration and new opportunities in the community. We help Ukrainians find one another, take part in events and volunteering, discover programs for children and teens, and stay connected to Ukrainian culture.
Our impact
ATXUkrainians brings together Austin’s Ukrainian families through education, culture and community events. Our school teaches children of all ages, and throughout the year we host major cultural, family and charity events for the community.
5 years of Ukrainian School of Austin The Ukrainian School of Austin is in its fifth year and today brings together over 100 children of all ages around the Ukrainian language, culture and traditions.
The largest Ukrainian celebration in Austin Independence Day Celebration 2026 was the largest Ukrainian event in Austin, drawing around 400 guests.
4 years of St. Nicholas We’ve held our annual St. Nicholas celebration for four years running. Each year it welcomes over 100 children along with their families and community guests.
3 years of Ukrainian Movie Night We’ve held our annual Ukrainian Movie Night in the park twice, and in 2026 it returns for a third time — a favorite family event of Austin’s Ukrainian community.
Building community together since 2022 From a small group of volunteers and first events — to a school, major cultural events, partnerships and ongoing programs for Austin’s Ukrainians.
Our vision
We aim to grow ATXUkrainians as a space that brings together education, culture, community and Ukrainian initiatives in Austin.
Our long-term dream is to create a Ukrainian Cultural Center in Austin: a permanent space for the Ukrainian school, cultural programs, exhibitions, gatherings, celebrations and community events.
Our team
ATXUkrainians grows thanks to the work of volunteers, teachers, organizers, partners and members of the Ukrainian community.
